Target is a replication of a series of still shots captured from a WikiLeaks released classified US military video “collatoral murder”, which depicts the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen civilians in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad–including two Reuters news staff in 2007. The series is a continuation of my investigation using the internet as a source for documentation and interpretation of historical data, erased histories of resistance and censored images of war.
Exhibited at “Keeping an Eye on Surveillance” at the Performance Art Institute.
